Youth Education Campaign is Now In Session!
Hello friends of the "Be the Change" Youth Education Campaign,
In the aftermath of the GSPHE Summer Conference August 7-8, 2010 in Atlanta, meant to bring people together to collectively discuss the next steps of the movement for quality public education in Georgia, a campaign was formed under the GPJC banner to actively pursue those next steps: the "Be the Change" Youth Education Campaign. Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition is On the Road Again with a Statewide
"Be the Change" Tour October 2010
As Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition has done in the 2008 State of Change Tour and the 2009 Cost of War Tour, it is planning a multi-city tour for October 11-17th. GPJC decided to call this year's tour "Be the Change." As Dr. King said April 4, 1967, "Our only hope today lies in our ability to recapture the revolutionary sprit and go out into a sometimes hostile world declaring eternal hostility to poverty, racism, and militarism." A panel will "connect the dots" of militarism, racism and poverty. The goal is to cover six cities. Now is the time to volunteer to host a stop.
